Here are the results of the membership survey. Of our 76 members, 44 responded.Question 1. How do you want to be notified of club events and news? You can choose more than one. 37 people wanted an e-mail from our drive coordinator. 13 wanted the notice on the web site. 21 wanted contact via an e-maikkl group. 1 responded "any way you want to". Question 2. If the club decides to go with an e-mail group, there are three options, closed, moderated, and open. A closed group is only available to selected club officers. Replies to the group are not permitted. A moderated group is open to all club members, but no message is sent to the group until a club officer has reviewed it. An open group allows any club member to send an e-mail to all other members of the club. People are free to reply to the sender, or to the entire group. Only club members would have access to the message group. Which would you prefer? 3 people wanted a closed group. 11 said a moderated group. 13 wanted an open group. 14 said any style group was fine. 3 didn't want a group of any kind. Question 3. We usually do one drive per month, starting in March or April and ending in October. Would you like to see more drives, fewer drives, or is this just right? 10 people wanted more drives. No one wanted fewer drives. 29 thought one per month was just right. 1 wanted whatever is best for the group and 1 said whatever the majority wants. 3 people skipped this question. Question 4. Which day should we schedule our drives? 7 said Saturdays only. 3 wanted Sundays only. 15 wanted to alternate. 17 said it didn't matter. 2 didn't answer this question. Queston 5. We seem to have trouble getting people to agree to host a drive. It's been suggested that we divide the club into regions, let's say north (Hamilton / West Chester and points north), south (KY), east and west (using I-75 as the divider). We then ask those in each region to schedule two drives per year. What do you think? 9 thought it was a great idea. 8 thought it was a terrible idea. 26 said it doesn't matter. 1 didn't answer this question. Question 6. Currently, the club only has one meeting, which is the planning meeting in February or March to schedule the drives for the year. Should we have more scheduled meetings? 18 said yes. 22 said no. 2 didn't answer. Question 7. If you answered Yes to the above question, how frequently should we have meetings? 1 said monthly. 12 said quarterly. 6 said other, which were broken down as every 6 months or so to adjust drive schedules. 2 said 2 per year. 1 said 1 in the Spring and 1 in mid summer for Homecoming and fall planning. 1 said it doesn't matter. 1 said add meetings as needed. 25 didn't answer this question. Question 8. Are you a member of the ZSCCA? 17 said yes. 25 said no. 2 didn't answer. Question 9. Are you a member of the BMWCCA? 19 said yes. 23 said no. 2 didn't answer. |
